"My mission is to transform winter sports by proving that the mountains belong to everyone. As a Black Ethiopian freeski athlete, I'm breaking down barriers and creating pathways for underrepresented youth to see themselves in sports where they've been overlooked. My goal is to inspire the next generation of diverse athletes with the confidence to claim their space in any sport they love, proving that talent has no boundaries and dreams have no limits. "

Bogale's Story
A passionate freeski athlete, Bo is committed to excellence in competition and film, showcasing the beauty of the sport while training in Park City, Utah. His dedication to representing Ethiopia on the Olympic stage in 2026 fuels his journey.
Bogale was born in the Wolaita region of Ethiopia. He was adopted at age 3 and began his skiing journey in the mountains of Maine. Bogale's name means "lightning" in his native language.

Bogale's mission extends far beyond the ski slopes, where he's partnering with Ethiopia Skate to bring new opportunities directly to Ethiopian youth. When he returns to Ethiopia in October, Bo will be carrying more than just memories from the mountains—he'll be bringing sports swag and skateboards to help kids discover their own lightning-fast potential on wheels instead of snow. Through this partnership, he's proving that inspiration travels both ways: while Ethiopia fuels his strength on international slopes, he's committed to bringing global sports culture back home, creating pathways for kids everywhere to find their passion and power in whatever sport calls to them.
